BRIK Building Design is a Melbourne building design and project management firm, built on a simple premise: that clients deserve a studio that is precise from the very first conversation and remains accountable until the last document is lodged. Too often, the gap between what a client imagines and what ends up on paper widens over time. BRIK exists to close that gap — and to do it at scale, with a rigorous, repeatable process behind every project.
We work across residential and commercial projects, guiding each from initial concept through construction-ready documentation, building permit coordination and project management. Jazeb Ather — Managing Director & Building Designer
BRIK was founded by Jazeb Ather, who holds a Master of Architecture from Deakin University and brings over seven years of experience across residential, commercial and interior projects in Melbourne.
His approach is rooted in restraint — letting materials, form and their juxtaposition do the storytelling. Good design, in his view, should never compete with the lives of the people who inhabit it; it should be the backdrop: considered, resolved and quietly extraordinary.
He built BRIK around that belief, and around the conviction that the client is not just part of the process — they drive it. That principle now shapes how the firm is being built: a growing team of designers, drafters and project managers, delivering work across Melbourne and, in time, nationally.
